ABOUT AMELIA ISLAND MONTESSORI SCHOOL (AIMS)
Since 1973, AIMS has educated thousands of children and remained true to the vision of providing
an environment where the development of the whole child matters, and where students cultivate
independent thinking and a true love of learning.

In recent years, the School has experienced growth and has the potential to grow further. At
approximately 90 students, AIMS currently serves students from 18 months - 12 years of age.

Employment at AIMS offers several advantages:
● The idyllic campus is located on Amelia Island’s south end, shaded by live oak trees and
within walking distance from the beach.
● The parent community is an engaged one, with a recently-energized association, Team AIMS,
which helps host a popular island-wide chili cook-off each year.
● AIMS has a solid administrative foundation, led by a Montessori-trained Head of School. It is
an accredited member of the American Montessori Society, Florida Council of Independent
Schools and Cognia.
● The School has a strong Board of Trustees that is committed to providing the resources and
support necessary to enable success for the organization.
