Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate, experienced Montessori Primary Lead Teacher (ages 3–6) to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading a primary classroom in accordance with Montessori philosophy and methodology, guiding children through a carefully prepared environment that promotes independence, concentration, and respect for self and others.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and maintain a safe, clean, and orderly Montessori environment that promotes purposeful activity and learning.
Guide children through individualized learning paths using Montessori materials and curriculum.
Observe, assess, and document each child's progress and development.
Foster strong relationships with students, families, and fellow staff members.
Maintain open, ongoing communication with parents through conferences, progress reports, and newsletters.
Collaborate with assistants and co-teachers, providing mentorship and professional support.
Participate in school events, meetings, and ongoing professional development.
Qualifications:
AMI or AMS -accredited Montessori Primary certification (required)
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Montessori classroom as a Lead Teacher (preferred)
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Strong classroom management and organizational skills
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills
