Job Description:
The Marlowe School (Atlanta, GA) is seeking an experienced Classroom Assistant to support our single, normalized Primary classroom (ages 2.5–6). We're looking for a seasoned Montessori professional who can work independently within an established environment, supporting our Lead Teacher and Co-Teacher with the trust and autonomy your experience warrants.
Responsibilities:
Supporting the daily rhythm, transitions, and order of the classroom so the Lead Teacher and Co-Teacher can focus on giving lessons and observing
Preparing, maintaining, and replenishing Montessori materials
Supervising children during work periods, lunch, playtime, and transitions
Modeling grace and courtesy, and supporting children's growing independence
Collaborating closely with the Lead Teacher and Co-Teacher to maintain a calm, well-ordered environment
Qualifications:
Significant prior experience as a Montessori classroom assistant
Comfortable working independently and anticipating classroom needs without close oversight
Ability to pass a background check
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–2:45 PM, during the regular school year.
Compensation: $20-25
