Job Description:
The Marlowe School (Atlanta, GA) is seeking a second Co-Teacher to join our single, normalized Primary classroom (ages 2–6) alongside our Lead Teacher. This is an excellent opportunity for a new graduate or someone early in their Montessori career looking to deepen their practice in a well-established, fully-equipped environment.
The Lead Teacher is a fourth-generation AMI-trained Montessorian with over 20 years of classroom experience, offering hands-on mentorship as you grow into your role as a guide.
Responsibilities:
• Presenting individual and small-group lessons under the Lead Teacher's guidance
• Maintaining accurate records of lessons given and student progress
• Supporting the order, flow, and care of the prepared environment
• Collaborating with the Lead Teacher and non-Montessori co-teacher throughout the day
This role does not include parent conferences, parent email correspondence, or lesson plan development — these remain with the Lead Teacher, so the Co-Teacher can focus on classroom presence and lesson delivery.
Qualifications:
• AMI or AMS Primary credential, or current enrollment in an AMI/AMS Primary training program
• New graduates and those early in their Montessori career strongly encouraged to apply
• Ability to pass a background check
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–2:45 PM, during the regular school year.
Compensation: $25–32/hour, depending on experience and credentials.
